Karnival Sure Kerj@,UM

Petang tadi sempat singgah Karnival Sure Kerj@ kat Dewan Kuliah Fakulti Sains, Universiti Malaya anjuran Jabatan Tenaga Kerja Kementerian Sumber Manusia. Mula-mula dengar perkataan 'karnival' tu terasa macam happening je event ni, tapi takde la ape sangat pun. Hahah. Booth pun tak banyak mane. Tak banyak company IT & multimedia yang datang. Tapi sempatlah jugak isi borang 'Electronic Labour Exchange' (Sistem Penjodohan Pekerjaan).
Lepas ni 'Karnival Sure ...' apa agaknya pulak?

Quote of the day..

Here's another thought provoking quote by ex-PM, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad which i found quite interesting from an interview with The Edge (week of May 16)
" Never trust your memory. If you see something interesting, write it down. If you have an idea, write it down. If you think that you can remember the idea, you are mistaken. Sometimes, you forget almost immediately. You even forget what you are going to say. But if you write it down, it will always be there. Except that sometimes i lose my notebook, then i forget. "

Dear boring blog..

(pic source: "13 Mei: Sebelum dan Selepas" by Almarhum Tunku Abdul Rahman)

The caption reads; Gambar perarakan "kemenangan" di atas menunjukkan penyapu untuk menyapu orang-orang Melayu. Gambar bawah: Penyokong-penyokong Gerakan dalam mabuk "kemenangan".

(note: The opposition, Gerakan-DAP won the Kuala Lumpur state seat in 1969 general election. Gerakan was in the opposition at this time. KL was previously a state seat under the Selangor DUN.)

I almost forgot that yesterday was May 13th! (ha ha) It's been exactly 36 years after the bloody racial riot that shocked the entire nation. It reminds me to flip thru few pages of the book (13 Mei: Sebelum dan Selepas). I haven't finish read it though but i can tell you it's a good book, if you want to know more about the infamous racial riot of May 13th 1969.

Bulan dan bintang di pagi Isnin blalala

Wasted time.
i cannot say that i was ready for this.
but when worlds collide,
and all that i have is all that i want.
the words seem to flow
and the thoughts they keep running.
and all that i have is yours.
all that i am is yours.
ohh...

Painted skys.
i've seen so many that cannot compare,
to your ocean eyes.the pictures you took
that cover your room,
and it was just like the sun
but more like the moon.
a light that cant reach at all.
so now im branded for taking the fall.
ohh...

so when you say forever,
can't you see you've already captured me

Asal Usul Marathon..

Sebab mereka bukan sahaja kuat, malah zalim. Mereka sanggup bunuh sesiapa sahaja untuk capai matlamat mereka."
"Habis, apa kita nak buat?" tanya raja.

Maka dihantarlah seorang utusan bernama Marathon.

Nak tahu apa Marathon buat?

(Bab 17 mukasurat 307)

My thoughts were so loud I couldn't hear my mouth?

..I like songs about drifters - books about the same.
They both seem to make me feel a little less insane.
Walked on off to another spot.
I still haven't gotten anywhere that I want.
Did I want love? Did I need to know?
Why does it always feel like I'm caught in an undertow?

The moths beat themselves to death against the lights.
Adding their breeze to the summer nights.
Outside, water like air was great.
I didn't know what I had that day.
Walk a little farther to another plan.
You said that you did, but you didn't understand.
